We offer a multi-year kindergarten, welcoming younger children’s first venture into “school” and preparing veteran older kindergarten children for first grade.
At Windsong School, formal academics begin in first grade with a curriculum that encompasses a wide variety of subjects and activities.
Our parent-child classes are designed to support the parent and child from birth through entry into our early childhood program.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP
I am so glad we found Windsong!
Our lives are better because of this sweet little school! They are committed to do everything possible to make Windsong accessible to all families who really want this education for their child(ren).
What a beautiful school
I have never been so proud to be a part of a community. Windsong is the perfect mix of real world education and academics. My son, wife and I have found deep, meaningful relationships not only with other students and their families, but the teachers and staff and as well. I truly wish this experience for every child.
...we could not be more grateful...
We found Windsong school when our daughter was in second grade—we could not be more grateful for the last four years. It has been an amazing experience for our family. The community is welcoming and warm. The teachers and staff, along with the families are committed deeply to the Waldorf mindset and a whole-of-person approach to education. As our daughter transitions into middle school—she leaves Windsong with; an engaged sense of community, a deep curiosity about the world she inhabits, confident self-reliance, and friendships well made. We will miss everything about the school— from block-reviews to festivals, student presentations to puppet shows, and Friday hikes to 6th grade physics experiments. As parents, looking back over our whole Windsong experience—the only change I would make is to have started Windsong when we started kindergarten!
We love Windsong!!
We were looking for an education for our son that focused on growing, developing and teaching the entire child. An education that is centered on the child and not teaching to improve standardized test scores. We found all of this plus so much more at Windsong. All the teachers and staff are fantastic! They get to know each child and meet them where they are at, embracing the child as the person they are while guiding them through their learning. The education they provide goes above and beyond regular academics to include individual well being, a strong focus on community, creativity, perseverance, and so many more areas and skills. Windsong also takes the time to educate the parents on child development, what they are doing in the classroom and how that translated into educating the whole child. We wholeheartedly recommend Windsong to everyone we know. We love Windsong!!
...an enormous— and surprising!— blessing to our family.
Sending our children to Windsong has been an enormous— and surprising!— blessing to our family. We thought we were pursuing a Waldorf education for the emotional and social benefits to our child, but we have received that and so much more. We have found ourselves part of a community that genuinely supports and uplifts our family. Our children have been given the foundation to be lifelong learners and compassionate, engaged citizens of the world.
