Board of Directors

Spokane Waldorf Education Association (SWEA)

Windsong School’s Board of Directors is formally Spokane Waldorf Education Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 45-1488860). Our Board is comprised of three to nine members at any given time.  They work on managing the financial health of the school and work closely with the faculty and administration.  As is standard in settings inspired by Waldorf education, their decision-making process is through consensus.

Cindy Jordan

Board Secretary

Cindy grew up on the prairies of central Canada exploring the forests and lakes. Her love of educating and teaching led her to become a Waldorf class teacher and then Pedagogical Administrator at Bright Water Waldorf school in Seattle. She holds a Waldorf teaching certificate, has completed the Waldorf Administration training with Sound Circle, has a B.A. in History and Geography, a B.Ed. in Social Studies and Art and is currently working on a MA/DA in Ecopsychology and Environmental Humanities.

Cindy loves learning, gardening, all things wild, and adventures with her family. She is honored and excited to serve on the Windsong board.

Cory Rickard

Board Treasurer

Cory was raised in the small community of Republic, WA two hours north of Spokane. Cory received his bachelors degree from the University of Washington, as a student-athlete.  In addition, Cory holds a masters in business administration from Utah State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Cory currently works as the CFO for a small, rural hospital in Northern California.

Cory and his wife, Samantha, have two kids currently attending Windsong. While the 21-22 school year was their first year attending Windsong, they are firm believers in the Waldorf-based principles.

In addition to serving on the Windsong Board, Cory serves on the board for a local non-profit, Transitions, who aims to end poverty and homelessness for women and children.

When not deep in accounting topics, you can find Cory training for triathlons or outside adventuring with his kids looking for the next Acrocanthosaurus tracks.

Cory joined the Windsong Board in the Spring 2022 and is currently filling the role of Treasurer. He is looking forward to being an advocate and supporter of the entire Windsong community.
